Herzog & de Meuron....Master piece

Herzog on the controversy over designing buildings for a dictatorship accused of human rights violations: "I know architects who claim they would never even consider building in China. This is a naïve and arrogant position, one that reflects a lack of knowledge of and respect for the incredible cultural achievements this country has continuously provided over the last 5,000 years."
The winning Herzog & de Meuron plan for the new Elbe Philharmoic in the Hafenstadt neighborhood of the German port city of Hamburg. Herzog calls it the "cultural anchor of a new city."
