Homemade Donuts

DONUTS si debab ..gemok!

gosh. they look so good, don't they?
i m planning to make homemade donuts one day..(plan baru)*sniff*
still,now i have no *precious* time to make these..
but im sure i'll try to do something amazingly..
maybe better than *krispy* or *j and co*
u wish!?
or else spannish donnuts?
omg...
yesterday i had that donuts for break fasting...
now im wondering y my butt is big and heavy n flabby !
need to go to the gym back!

Fried Donuts
Items Needed
  • 3 tbsp Shortening
  • 2/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 2/3 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Grated Nutmeg
  • ¾ tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 5 tsp Baking Powder
  • Oil, for frying
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Bowl
  • Pastry Board/ Flat Surface
  • Doughnut Cutter
Instructions
  • Put shortening and sugar in a bowl and cream together.
  • Mix in beaten egg to the shortening-sugar mixture.
  • Now, add milk, while stirring constantly.
  • Add nutmeg, salt, flour and baking powder.
  • Knead the mixture, to form stiff dough.
  • Dust a pastry board or any flat surface with flour.
  • Roll out the dough on the board/surface, to a thickness of about ¼ inch.
  • With the help of a cutter, cut out doughnuts from the dough.
  • Fry the doughnuts in hot oil.
  • Take them out, let them cool a bit and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • Doughnuts are ready to be served.
Baked Doughnuts
Items Needed
  • 2 packages Yeast
  • ¼ cup Warm Water
  • 1½ cups Scalded, Cooled Milk
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup Shortening
  • 4½ cups All-purpose Flour
  • ¼ cup Melted Margarine
  • Cinnamon Sugar (for topping)
  • Bowl
  • Blender
  • Pastry Board/ Flat Surface
  • Doughnut Cutter
  • Greased Baking Sheet
  • Spatula
Instructions
  • Take a large bowl and in it, dissolve yeast in warm water.
  • Now, add milk, granulated sugar, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, eggs, shortening and 2 cups of flour to the dissolved yeast.
  • Blend all the ingredients, mentioned in the above step, together, for 30 seconds. Make sure to scrape the bowl constantly.
  • Using a blender; beat them at medium speed, for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in remaining flour, until the batter becomes smooth.
  • Cover the batter and set aside, for about 1 hour, to let it rise until it becomes double in size.
  • Dust a pastry board or any flat surface with flour.
  • Turn the dough on the board/surface and roll around, to let it coat with flour.
  • Now, roll it our.
  • With the help of a cutter, cut out doughnuts from the dough.
  • Take a greased baking sheet and with the help of a spatula, place the doughnuts on it, 2 inches apart.
  • Now, brush them with melted margarine.
  • Cover the doughnuts and set aside, for about 20 min, to let them rise until they become double in size.
  • Bake in a preheated over, at 425 degrees F, for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden.
  • Take them out, cool a bit and brush with melted margarine.
  • Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar.
  • Doughnuts are ready to be served.



they are donuts eater *grrrr* athletes cant eat these..contain a lot of sugarrr...*pouts*
